1/Is advertising really necessary ? Does it work ?

The advertising serves for informing new products, allows the consumers to choose betweenseveral products. It also allows the brands to become known.
But in my opinion, the advertising is not really necessary because it has for purpose to sell more. But alsoto incite a target to adopt a wished behaviour: purchase of a product, an election of a political personality, an incentive in the energy saving

Effectively theadvertising works very well because the customers buy the new products seen on the TV, or because such star also uses.
Moreover, every year approximately 500 000 000000 $ are used for the advertising!

2/If so, how does advertising work?

The advertising is a particular shape of propaganda. Its purpose is to fix the attentionof an aimed target (consumer, user, voter, etc.).

For it, it makes laugh, cry, fear … It wants that we remember it. The advertising wants to call, to mark us thanksto its slogans, its music, a hero, a celebrity...
By touching, by captivating, by shocking a spectator the advertising made a success of everything. The person isgoing to remember it and thus to speak about it or to buy the product.

3/Do you ignore advertising or are you influenced by it?

I am very influenced byadvertisements. I look at them a lot because I like that. I am what we call a big consumer! When I see a product I may buy it if its advertising seduced me.
