Introduction

Obesity and overweight: two scourges of our modern societies. Nowadays a third of the population in the United States of America is considered as obese.That is an issue which affects a large group of the worldwide population. As people living in a developed country and more especially as students, physical activity is among our core parts of our everyday lives.

My literature review is about the promotion of physical activities and what meanings men and women gain from these practices.

The first part of the work will gather informationcollected from a large amount of literature. In this part I will also make a critical analyse. In the second part, it will be reflected my personal experience about my practise of physical activities. Moreover, it will be included a in depth analysis about an international campaign promoting a regular practise of physical activity in order to improve the health of the worldwide population.
