2. Requirements and Limitations AxCrypt requires very little and is compatible with all current versions of Windows. Resource Memory (RAM) Hard disk space Temporary disk space Processor Operating System User permissions Installation permissions Maximum file size Value About 5 Mega bytes of virtual memory when active. 2 Mega byte Up to about 1.5 x the size of a file being encrypted. Pentium Windows 98, ME, NT 4 sp 4, 2000, XP Home, XP Professional, 2003, Vista Any user can run AxCrypt Administrator in NT, 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista. About 500 – 700 Mega byte on Windows 98 and ME. Only limited by disk space on NTFS. Only limited by disk space. To recompile AxCrypt from downloaded source code you need Visual Studio 2005 or later.
