EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

After a fully engaged year, having many experiences in Rome, London, Paris and in New York, between working and studying, there is an obligation for myself to write and analyse all the changes occurred on me, trying to unify allthe pieces of the puzzle in order to create a clearer vision of my personal and also professional development.

I need to start from the very beginning in order to understand my growth in terms of skills and competences.

After my experience in ESE Rome, I’ve had the opportunity to work in an international environment that allowed me to open my mind to different culture, even if I lived in mycountry.

After that, another step forward: the opportunity to study in France, in the fashion home, Paris, in one of the most prestigious Schools in the world, such as Esmod!
A different approach to the study, more practical and projected towards new strategies developments, with lots of competition, changed me again!

Now a new experience, this time facing with a new job, engaging butinteresting, that allows me to make experiment everyday new job typologies and to overcome difference in terms of culture, being still in a multiethnic environment, with employees from all over the world, such as Colombia, China, Moldavia, France and so much again.

Difficulties occur every moment but new ideas and new paths appear constantly together.

All this one explains my layout decision: Iwould like to represent my movements, my ways in several directions that converge in a main one, that is my objective.

It could seem some confusion but in the reality it’s a way to express all my particularities, because without these I’m not myself, I live with this changeable ideas of my projects, but staying always in the right direction, at least I mean, that is always when I want to stay. It’s like a diary in which in every moment you can put something more, adding and adding because is a continuous process never stopped.

Pictures and graphs will help me to explain my progress and my experience during this full year.
My report will be divided in 3 section: in the first section I’m analysing my personal development, both in my academic studies and in my company placement, tryingalso to look ahead in 5 years; the second section is focused on cultures, it’s about my observations and experience of cross-cultural communication and management while living in Paris, both in Esmod university, and in U…, looking for differences and similarities between my home country and my host country, that is France; last but not the least section is about my internship in U…, presenting thecompany and its positioning with a focus in the strategy it took, trying to see its key factors for the success in only 5 years of life. For this case study research I’ve used organisational material with the help of academic texts to analyse the organization’s approach. It’s an interaction between both in order to have a better view of the success.
