Its are ingrained in the life of a bulk of millions people who can not live without. Thus “social networks” it is the subject of our essay, because we can’t oubsure this phenomenon who can represent the globalisation in the world. That’s why, first of all, we’re going to present social networks in general and their impact today in the world. Then we will speak about the phenomnon of facebook who is the leader of social networks. And finally, we will analyse risks of social networks for the users. Part 1 : General presentation of social network Definition and functioning of a social network A social network consists in website having objectives to widen it circle of friends, to streangthen the family ties, or again to develop its professionals relations (for example by Facebook or Myspace). Also, the sociale network can be organized around the business relations (LinkedIn or de Viadeo), around events, causes, interests (Oliceo or Néthique), around culture (Flixster)... And sometimes some social networks combines several intentions (PointsCommun). The latest social networkings are more concentrated on specific subject such as art, automobile, game (poker...), dog owner or again plastic surgery. The majority of these websites are publics. The story of the social networks The first social network was born in 1995, and it was “classmate.com”.But we can say that these websiteS are really born in USA in 2003 with the launching of the website Friendster, then few months later, the most famous MySpace.
