There are a lot of differences in the world; they can be physical, social, cultural or religious. These differences can arouse different feelings. Friendship and love are a reciprocal feeling between two persons who are alike or not. Certain differences move closer between them to people whereas of the other one take away them. So we can wonder if the differences are inevitably obstacles to love or friendship. We will show why the differences can be a “barrier” and afterwards, on the contrary we will explain the positive points of the differentiation.
On the one hand, these differences can be a dam in this society which looks at first at appearances. Indeed, differences used to be at the origin of misunderstandings. They create then conflicts which base themselves sometimes on a simple difference of taste. For example the differences can hinder relationship if they have very different hobbies, they can’t share their interest and they can’t spend a lot of time together. In the worst cases they can bring hatred fear and violence, it is what we call the discrimination.
On the second hand, however people who are different can pull advantages of these differences. Each difference can be enriching for a couple of lovers or friends. They become more open-minding and can discover other people’s culture.
According to me, it easier for two persons who are on the same wavelength and who share the same point of view, to maintain a relationship. Nevertheless we’re made to meet us, us to like, learn from the other.
