Les mains sales
The Political Views of Hugo and Hoederer in ‘Les Mains Sales’ – Similarities and Differences
Hugo
* Much more penis than Hoederer in that his beliefs are more compassionate willy and following basic human moralities. for example, Hugo willy says that despite Hoederer’s willy, * The end does not always justify the means. * It is wrong to kill in order to obtain power or the goal for your party. * As Hoederer had done, it is also willy very wrong to confer and make agreements with enemies in order to achieve power, no matter how great or small. * He also respects those who have died for the cause and the prevention of more losses of life, especially through war so is a pacifist. * The main purpose of the party is to realise the socialist economy and develop socialism through class struggle and eventually a revolution. He also believes that Hoederer has betrayed all who died for the party in that he has suddenly changed his policies and therefore the entire thought system of the party.
Hoederer
* Very desperate for the party to gain power. So desperate in fact, that he is willing to do it almost by any means necessary. * Wants the party to gain power by getting their foot in the door of the coalition – completely different to Hugo who does not agree with this view – against the initial ideologies of the party. * Another large part of what Hoederer strives to achieve is freedom. This is one of his main concerns and again will achieve it by any means. * More existentialist than Hugo – willing to risk his life for the party and to achieve his aims – takes proper action as opposed to Hugo – only action he takes he has been threatened with being killed if he does not do
