[MARKET STUDY : ENGLISH TRAINING]

The market of English training forcompanies started at the beginning of 80’s. At this moment a lot of companies understood that it was important that their employees speak English for the business. Then, many companies made the choice to invest in this way for generating profits.

❖ “Change your life! Speak wall street English”
Wall Street Institute was created on May 1996. It’s the leader in the world and in France ofEnglish training for individual person and companies. The network is present in France with 70 training centers. Wall Street Institute offers English training completely adapted on clients needs in general English and in business English.

❖ Telelangue
Since 1981, the 600 Telelangue’s teachers trained in France 300 000 trainees and 15 000 companies. It is the number one for linguistic trainingin company; it is also the leader on teaching by phone and by Internet for individual person and young people. Its reputation of quality and financial solidity (9 millions euros of turnover, 800 employees, a national network of 41 centers) give it the training of a big companies like, Accenture, Air France, Air Liquide, Alcatel, Alstom etc.

❖ “Today Berlitz, tomorrow the world”
Berlitz wascreated there is 130 years, in 1877 by Maximilien Berlitz. It was the first school who revolutionized the languages teaching. Learning languages and understanding cultures, that is closely to link to the name of Berlitz. Berlitz is a global network of more than 550 Berlitz Language Centers in more than 70 countries. In 2011, Berlitz Professionnal will start in France. It will be the possibility todo internships in internal companies aimed to develop the English business.

❖ The British Council
The British Council supports cultural relations between the UK and France, promoting the exchange of knowledge and ideas and the development of professional relationships. The British Council is a world authority in English language teaching. It has over 70 years’ experience with 91 teachingcenters in 57 countries and provides quality language learning worldwide. The teaching centre in Paris opened in July 1998 offering a wide variety of English language courses during the school year and school holidays specially designed for children and teenagers from the age of five to school leaving age (17/18). Since September 2007 the centre has also offered English language courses foradults.

❖ Communicaid
Communicaid is an organization of professional training. There is training in English for business and especially in finance and rights. Every year, Communicaid make the English training, in intercultural and in technique communication for 500 companies like Ikea, Sony etc. In France, there is one centre in Paris.
