In 1924, the Dassler family will to get involved in sport shoes manufacture. After a time, two brothers, Adolf and Rudolf Dassler,created the society "Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik", in Herzogenaurch, in Bavaria. They were friends and managed their trade together.
Adolf was an excellent shoemaker andcreator but he was a bad seller. On the other hand, Rudolf was a good seller and shoemaker but a bad creator. Thus, Adolf didn’t do without Rudolf even inversely they werea good team. Adolf created shoes and Rudolf sold them in Germany and another countries. Their trade was very well up to the Second World War.
Adolf and Rudolf were inabout forty and they mobilized by strength.
Meanwhile, the company became, during this period, a manufacture of army shoes and boots. Their wife managed the trade and theyhated both because they try to have celebrity only she. Their big rivalry make they became deadly enemies.
In 1945, the Dassler brothers were return in Bavaria but itwas too late. Unfortunately, after some try, they were impossible to work together. As a matter of fact, the brothers separated. Adolf reappointed his trade Adidas, asummary of his surname and Rudolf reappointed his company Puma, a nickname when he was young.
After this, two multinational companies developed in a mid-sized city. Puma stoodback concerning his neighbours but it created important innovations about screwed studs or of sports support. The company became anonymous in 1986.
Today, Puma employ9204 persons and distribute his product in about 80 countries. It possess 65% of market share in Mexico and in America on the male persons between 12 and 25 years in shoes.
