Introduction
I n this report, first of all, I will present the reasons I choose Amsterdam as a city to do my summer experience in as English-speaking country. Then I will give a rundown of the Netherlands and another of Amsterdam.
Then I will address the main part of this report, specifically the sequence of events in my summer experience in Amsterdam: places visited, the different ways in which I practiced English, the difficulties I had, etc.
Finally, I will give an overall opinion of my stay in Amsterdam as a conclusion and will present the English-speaking cities that I would like to know one day.
Why amsterdam?
I chose the city of Amsterdam to do my summer experience, first because of its geographical position. Since it is 860 km from Lyon, it is one of the closest English-speaking cities of Lyon and therefore the ticket is cheaper.
Then Amsterdam is a city that has caught my attention for two reasons.
The first is that I knew that the house of Anne Frank was in this city. Now, when I was little I read a book of the life of Anne Frank and knowing his house would be a great experience for me.
The other reason is that it is for me a very unique city because of its water channels that run through it.
