IntroductionThis report is to relate my internship experience that I had at CNRA/RCAR (Caisse Nationale de Retraite et d’assurance/ Regime Collectif d’Allocation de Retraite), a company that operates in the insurance and pension field. This report focuses mainly on my personal experience at CNRA/RCAR with also my point of view on how I see this company. It also includes an evaluation of the business concerningits activities and its competitors.

This report is organized as follows: Section one consists of a general presentation of the business which includes the nature and legal status, the history of CNRA/RCAR, and its organisational structure. Section two includes both the passive and active experience I had in the company. The passive one consists of describing the departments visited, and theactive one consists of the tasks performed. The third and final section consists of evaluations. First, an evaluation of my internship experience. And second, an evaluation of the business comprising some key performance figures and a SWOT analysis of the company.

1. General Presentation of the Business:

1-1. Nature and Legal Status:

* The CDG (Caisse de Depot et de Gestion) is afinancial institution, created as a public institution by the Dahir of the 10th February 1959. It has a main function to receive, keep, and manage saving resources that needs a special protection.

* The CNRA (Caisse Nationale de Retraites et d’Assurances) is a public institution endowed with civil personality and financial autonomy; it operates under the government guarantee created by theDahir n° 1-59-301 of the 27th October 1959. It is managed by CDG.

* The RCAR (Regime Collectif d’Allocation de Retraite) is a social foresight institution endowed with moral personality and financial autonomy; it has been created by the Dahir n° 1-77-216 of the 4th October 1977 and it is managed by CDG.

1-2. History:

* 1959: The CNRA is created. Managed by the CDG, it is given themission by the legislator to consent immediate annuities, life annuities, and temporary annuities but

also the right to expand its operations to all insurance combinations that guarantees a capital in case of life or death.

* 1977: The RCAR is created, and managed by the CNRA. The RCAR is a complete pension scheme, composed of a general and a complementary scheme.

* 1984: Theauthorities reiterate their trust to the CNRA by giving it pensions of accidents related to traffic by applying the Dahir n°1-84-177 of the 2nd October 1984.

* 1988: Launching of RECORE to satisfy the needs of a complementary retirement or basic one for all social and economic categories.

* The 90’s constitute a turning point for the CNRA which tends more to competitive activities. Trying tosatisfy the expectation of different professional categories.

* 1991: The CNRA establishes the retirement funds for the commission of Moroccan lawyers called FRAM (Fonds de Retraite des Ordres des Avocats du Maroc).

* 1995: Establishement of an insurance and foresight system called “Addamane Al Hirafi” for craftsmen and merchants.
