Paul West, a British of 27 years, comes in Paris for a one-year job. He will work for VanDiffusion, a meat company which wants to open some Tea rooms in Paris.

Paul realizes that it’s difficult to live in Paris when you’re not a Parisian yet. Paris is like an ocean. When you are a shark, everything is alright, but when you’re not, you ought to become quickly one of them.

Paul meets Alexa, when she was working as a waitress during the strike. They met in Montmartre, they had a lunch in a bateau-mouche and they kissed each other over the Seine. Then they had an evening together, Paul got pissed and Alexa either, but in the morning Paul woke up in a unknown black woman’s flat, and they had sex ( he knows it because a condom was on his dick).

At his office, he noticed that everybody was useless, and the committee do not seems to be useful.
