Firstly Biko wants a better South Africa. With more equality than when he lives (now it’s better but not enough!) In his country, South Africa, the blacks are not the same power than the other. But although they are as intelligent as the white people, their salaries are smaller, go into school is harder, have a good job like Manphela is very difficult… (Only two black people have a bonus to study at university) And lot of other differences! Yet what said Biko is true but the whites don’t thing to the same way: “... whites must be made to realise that they are only human, not superior...” We can see that he understands the blacks are alone, they haven’t the help from others when he says: “Black man, you are on your own”. In the book we can see that the blacks have a very good organisation and can work together. He thinks too that the blacks must do everything for having a better life and be proud of their. “You are either alive and proud or you are dead...”
But of course, it is better if everybody works together and helps the other (Black AND
