Swimming: My Sport
I will explain to you why I love swimming. I love swimming because it is something that I do not mind practicing a lot. I am lucky to practice at high-level and have never seen it like someone that goes to the swimming pool every Sunday to swim for an hour. Swimming at a high-level takes a lot of sacrifices. You often have to practice twice a day. Generally I have class during the day so my first practice is in the morning. I like to train because when I am in the water I feel so well. I get to think about nothing but swimming. When I dive into the water I forgot all my problems. I just want to relax, to have fun, to laugh with my teammates and to swim fast. And, the training everyday gives you a healthy life.
Moreover, swimming brings me a lot of things. It has permitted me to gain maturity, meet a lot of people, travel and visit all around France, and come to Lindenwood University. It has especially provided me with happiness. I have found great friendships in my teammates.
When you swim at high level, you have many obligations. It is not easy all the time because you often feel tired and it takes a lot of your time but it is a choice you make. Coaches especially expect that you progress every time you compete. Swimming at a high level gives you the chance to participate in competitions. I like to swim in competitions because I am a competitor. And when you are in competition I feel a type of feeling that I find extraordinary like the having the expectation to swim fast or to win a race.
