Description :

The United Nations Children's Fund (abbreviated in Unicef is an agency of the United Nations Organisation (UNO) dedicated to the improvement and to the promotion of the condition of the children. His(her,its) name was originally Children's United Nations International Emergency Fund, whose acronym she(it) kept(preserved). She(it) actively participated in the writing(editorial staff), the conception and the promotion of the universal agreement(convention) of children rights, adopted continuation(suite) at the top of New York in 1989. His(her,its) total income in 2006 was 2 781 millions USD.

THE UNICEF received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1965.

Unicef intervenes during emergency situations to protect the rights of the children. In coordination with the bodies of United Nations and the humanitarian bodies, the fund(collection) of United Nations puts the unique(only) infrastructure which it has to intervene quickly in the service of his(her) partners to relieve the suffering of the children and those who have it the load(responsibility).

Unicef is a not partisan organization and its cooperation is exempt from any discrimination. In all its initiatives, the priority is given to the most disadvantaged children and in the most deprived countries.
