WINE IN FRANCE AND IN BURGUNDY
Wine in France is considered as a cultural and gastronomic product that is also a symbol of France all over the world.
Historically wine know-how was developped in France and Burgundy is one of the best French Wine regions.
France is the biggest wine producer in the world in 2009 (45.7 million hectolitres).
Burgundy produces 84 different appellations on a surface of 29,500 hectares.
It is composed of three main areas : la Côte de Beaune, around the city of Beaune, la Côte de Nuits, around Nuits Saint Georges, and la Côte Chalonnaise around Châlon sur Saône.
Burgundy wines are famous for their finesse and the spirit of terroir : the basis of terroir is above all the sub-soil and the soil from which the wine draws its nutrients, and which create a secret alchemy of colours, aromas and flavours.
2 main cépages : Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
OUR "DOMAINE"
Situated in Vougeot, Burgundy, Le Domaine has a 3 million euros turnover in trade and in production.
Our vineyard : 20 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the most beautiful appellations.
10 appellations among which 3 Premier Cru and 2 Grand Cru.

In many countries in the world, the French wines are experiencing some difficulties and we can see some reduction of its sales in comparison with
