COMMENT PENSER LES RELATIONS INTERNATIONALES D’UN POINT
DE VUE PHILOSOPHIQUE ?
Quand la problematique philosophique de l’etat de nature rencontre celle de la guerre en science politique di Thomas Meszaros
Abstract: The international relations use the “Sovereign State” suggested by the political thought in general, as recurring postulate. The latter tells in an almost mystical way the birth of this object of belief which inspires attachment and fidelity. Our investigation will attempt to treat the question of the state of nature from the philosophical point of view starting from two opposed conceptions, that of Thomas Hobbes and that of John Locke.
Thus, a theory of the international relations cannot be limited only to an empirical approach.
It must necessarily find in philosophical epistemology a point of anchoring. We will emphasize various
ontological
and
epistemological
elements
which
favour
the
comprehension of these theories and their formulation. We will come to the conclusion that philosophy tends to highlight the diversity of the points of the view which exist in a field as complex as that of the international relations because philosophy is above all a sensemaker.
