Coca Cola is an american company which was created in 1887. The Coca Cola Company is a beverage company,manufacturer, distributor and marketer of non-alcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups. The Coca-Cola Company is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
The company is best known for itsflagship product Coca-Cola. Their main competitors on the world market are soft drinks in the kola of multinationals like Pepsi-Cola and in a lesser measure Dr Pepper and Virgin Cola.
TheCoca-Cola formula and brand was bought in 1889 by Asa Candler who incorporated The Coca-Cola Company in 1892. Besides its namesake Coca-Cola beverage, Coca-Cola currently offers more than 400 brandsin over 200 countries or territories and serves 1.6 billion servings each day.
As the company expanded its business to global markets, particularly after World War II (1941-45), manypeople in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America have come to associate the taste of this carbonated cola drink with American culture.
In the US, Coca-Cola is a major lobbying force working togain favorable legislation for the beverage industry.
The Coca-Cola Company also produces a number of other soft drinks including Fanta and Sprite. During the 1990s, the company respondedto the growing consumer interest in healthy beverages by introducing several new non-carbonated beverage brands. These included Minute Maid Juices to Go, Powerade sports beverage, flavoredtea Nestea.
Coca-Cola has sponsored the English Football League since the beginning of the 2004-05 season. Other major sponsorships include NASCAR, the NBA, the PGA Tour, NCAA Championships,the Olympic Games, the NRL, the FIFA World Cups and the UEFA Euro.
To conclude, I can say that the Coca Cola company is one of bigger companies of the world and one of the most powerful.
