Procédure:
1- A partir de décembre, les étudiants consultent les sujets et rencontrent les professeurs. Les étudiants peuvent aussi proposer des thèmes et en discuter avec les promoteurs pressentis.
2- A partir du 21 mars, les étudiants peuvent faire signer leur requête au promoteur pressenti. La requête (https://terranostra.fundp.ac.be/eco/espace-etudiants/etudiants/cycle2/eco/memoires_eco/Requetememoire.doc/view) est envoyée au secrétariat (marie-helene.mathieu@fundp.ac.be).
3- Toutes les requêtes doivent être envoyées pour le 1er mai au plus tard.

Recent work in development economics argues that property rights protection, proxied by constraints on the executive power, are fundamental determinants of the long-run economic performance of a country. But how exactly these constraints affect economic incentives ? And, if the benefits of such constraints are so big, why some societies fail to impose them ? This thesis will explore these questions, mainly from economic history perspective.
Collective beliefs are a likely deteminant of numerous public policies. However, we still know very little about how such beliefs emerge and evolve. One key example is the perception of risk (e.g. epidemics, natural disasters). This thesis will first explore several existing descriptive studies and try to select one or several key mechanisms behind the collective belief change, and then proceed to model them theoretically.
