Is the branch of physics concerned with the behavior of physical bodies when subjected to forces or displacements, and the subsequent effect of the bodies on their environment.

Statics: Is the branch of physics concerned with the analysis of loads (force, moment, torque) on a physical systems in static equilibrium, that is, in a state where the relative positions of subsystems do not vary over time, or where components and structures are at rest under the action of external forces of equilibrium. When in static equilibrium, the system is either at rest, or moving at constant velocity. Dynamics: Is the branch of classical mechanics that is concerned with the effects of forces on the motion of objects.

Particle: A particle has a mass, but a size that can be neglected. When a body is idealized as a particle, the principles of mechanics reduce to a rather simplified form since the geometry of the body will not be involved in the analysis of the problem.

Rigid Body: A rigid body can be considered as a combination of a large number of particles in which all the particles remain at a fixed distance from one another both before and after applying a load. The Principle of Transmissibility: When a force acting at a point on the rigid body, the condition of the body remain unchanged if the force is replace by a force if the same magnets same direction, and having the same line of action, but acting at different point.

Newton's Three Laws of Motion:

The entire subject of rigid-body mechanics is formulated on the basis of Newton's three laws of motion, the validity of which is based on experimental observation.

First Law: A particle originally at rest, or moving in a straight line with constant velocity, will remain in this state provided the particle is not subjected to an unbalanced force.
