Mythe et héros So I’m going to present to you the notion of myths and heroes. A myth is a story that may or may not be true. There is no evidence that the event is produced. Often myth begins a story about true and are transformed, changed, managed to make it more interesting. A hero is a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. It can be the main character in a book or a film or a person with superhuman qualities. It can also be a modern-day hero, a person who has performed a heroic act or simply our own personal hero, our role model, who we look up to.Why are myths and heroes important in our society? First we will see that they play an important role by dreams and imagination in the fantasy world. Then we can see that they have a role model and example to follow or admire in the world today.
First, Heroes make us dream thanks to the myth that they represent. They offer a different dream world where our laws of nature and of man is not in the earth. We can illustrate the novel and the film Peter Pan. The story is representative of the myth of eternal youth and offers the dream of a world without rules, without parents. We can even take the Harry Potter novel that shows the victory of love against darkness and where magic is left of our world. With the effects of the literature, the iconic fictional hero becomes "real". These fictional characters living in fantasy worlds, which represents an unreal dream about perfection, large and small, by inculcating myths of society. For example tales for girls, such as Cinderella, highlight the cult of beauty. In his stories are represented the best of all possible worlds, which is not feasible in real life. In addition, the heroes that make us dream enable us to imagine a new personality and a different life.
