The brand that i chose to study is H&M.
H&M is a big store of clothes which proposes at low prices of the trendy clothes, for men, women and children. H&M gets closer of brand such as Zara. H&M became of the affordable popular fashion.
I chose this brand because i love the clothes which she proposes. Indeed, almost all my clothes come from H&M. Furthermore, the prices are really affordable. Also, stores are beautifull and trendy, especially the one who has just opened on the famous avenue of Champs Elysées.
History
In the 1940s, Erling Persson, a young Swedish went look for his inspiration in the United States. He returned with the certainty there to have found a new idea: sell some feminine fashion and quality to rock-bottom prices.
In 1947, he inaugurates the first Hennes store (" for her " in Swedish) in his city of Västerås, in Sweden.
In 1968, the acquisition of stores Mauritz Widforss marks the beginning of the chaine Hennes and Mauritz for woman and man. Then in the 1970s, a department children and young people is born.
On February 25th, 1998, H&M inaugurates his first store in France, street of Rivoli in Paris. There are today more than 130 H&M stores opened in France.
In 2007, H&M considerably developed and counts more than 1 750 selling points distributed in 35 countries and counts more than 70 000 employees. The company, the growth of which is very fast, plans to double its number of selling points from 2007 till 2013, that is to pass to approximately 3 000 stores.

A strong brand is an increasingly important competitive advantage. All H&M’s communication aims to build the brand both in the long and short term, and to inform about the offer. Customers should know their way around and know what H&M stands for – fashion and quality at the best price.
