Now, I will talk about the customs of Valentine’s Day. So, in Valentine’s Day, lovers in the couples, exchange their gifts to show their love. The gifts can be chocolates, roses or letters.
The symbols of Valentine’s Day are Cupid, hearts, red roses and birds who are the messengers of love.
In the world, there are many different practices. In Japan, for exemple, the woman gives chocolates to the man and can require a gift forty times more expensive that the chocolates. In China, however, there is’nt Valentine’s Day, but a day who resemble. The name is qǐqiǎo jié, called too Chinese Valentine’s Day or the day of the double seven because of happened in the seventh day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar. In Bresil we don’t talk about Valentine’s Day but about the lover’s day, it’s not celebrated on the fourteenth of February but on the twelfth of June. Finaly, in Colombia, Valentine’s Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of September and is called the day of love and
