PRESENTATION of ITII
ITII (Industrial Engineering Institute) is a French engineering school founded in 1991. It’s aims are to produce operational engineers in numerous industrial sectors. ITII Pays de la Loire represents the West of France and is based in Nantes, on the Loire estuary. Here, future engineers are trained by apprenticeship. Trainees spend three years working in an industrial environment with 1800 hours of science and technology courses adapted to their specialisation. We organise three engineering programmes : Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering and Public Works Industrial Automation and programming

INTERNATIONAL WORK PLACEMENTS All ITII trainees must carry out a 2 month work placement in another country (between 15 June and 15 September). The objectives of this work placement are : to experience working in a foreign company. to experience living in another culture. to improve foreign language skills*.
*The trainees sit the TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication), after their foreign experience.

No money is involved:
The trainees continue to receive their salary (around 600€ net per month) from France, so no money is demanded of the host company.

No insurance problems:
Profile of ITII Trainees ITII recruit graduates with a two year technology diploma or equivalent. The newly recruited apprentice engineers thus have enough technical knowledge to begin working in industry. They complete their scientific and technical training over the following three years in the following subjects : Engineering sciences Science and Technology Management and Human Resources The trainees are covered for work liabilities by their French work insurance.

No organisation needed:
ITII Pays de la Loire remain in charge of the organisation and the pedagogical aspects of the work placement.

A convention stating the details of the agreement is drawn up between all parties involved.
