BLACK SWAN follows the story of Nina (Natalie Portman), a ballerina in a ballet troupe from New York whose life, like all of his profession, and completely absorbed in the dance. She lives with her mother, retired ballerina, Erica (Barbara Hershey), who did his best to support the career ambitions of her daughter. When artistic director Thomas Leroy (Vincent Cassel) decides to replace the prima ballerina Beth MacIntyre (Winona Ryder) for the opening show of their new season, Swan Lake, Nina is his first choice. But Nina has competition: a new dancer, Lily (Mila Kunis), who also impresses Leroy. Swan Lake requires a dancer, who can play both the White Swan with innocence and grace, and the black swan, which represents vice and sensuality.
