Mulder has a special interest in the kinds of cases that no other agent in the bureau would touch. They were called the X-FILES, and they dealt with the weird, the paranormal, and the supernatural.
Scully was trained as a medical doctor and a physicist. She was a scientist who believed in the laws of cause and effect, in rational explanations. But there was nothing rational about the X-FILES. Working with Mulder , she’d investigated aliens, mutants, and psychic visions that somehow became real. Things she could barely believe, even when she’d seen the evidence with her own eyes.
Lots of people in the bureau thought Mulder was nuts. They even called him. Mulder was too good an agent. He had a photographic memory. He was brilliant when it came to analyzing cases, Scully thought, even if he was a little too eager to believe in the supernatural. But there was nothing supernatural about this case. So what were they doing here in Browing; Montana ?
