Fromagerie Ottavi, which was set up in 1948, is a family-owned company that employs 25 staff.
Fromagerie Ottavi combines its modern structure with its traditional savoir-faire, producing excellent, quality artisan cheeses. The company offers a wide range of traditional hard and soft cheeses that are rich in flavour: goat’s milk cheeses, ewe’s milk cheeses, cheese spreads, grated ewe’s milk tomme, and
Brocciu, which is the only Corsican AOC cheese.
Although the company makes a wide range of cheeses, its bestseller is the Fleur du Maquis, which was created in 1989. This cheese is especially designed for the export market, as its flavours and ingredients are emblematic of the island – the semi-soft ewe’s milk cheese is coated in a mixture of herbs, including rosemary, thyme, marjoram and fennel.
