Ireland is an island situated in the northwestern Europe and it is composed of the Republic of Ireland and the Northern Ireland which belongs to the United Kingdom.
The capital of the Republic of Ireland is Dublin and the Northern Ireland’s one is : Belfast.
But in our study, we decided to focus on the Republic Of Ireland.
It has one of the highest birth rate in Europe, and its population is around 4 500 000 millions inhabitants.
There are two official languages in the Republic of Ireland : the english and the irish, but the english still the language the most spoken.
More generally, Ireland is famous for its lakes (especially the Connemara one), its beautiful landscapes and its old wisky. That attracts a lot of tourists every year.
In the first part, we will focus on the Relationship between Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland, then in a second part, we will present the Irish economical crisis and its consequences on the European Union and on the country.

Religious differences have always caused troubles in the world. The Middle East, Asia, Europe, in most every country at some point there has been conflict over the differing of beliefs and ideals, and Ireland is not an exception. Ever since the seventeenth century when the English succeeded in securing the island, have there been stark divisions. At this time the line between the Protestant north and Catholic south was made, only worsened by economic differences. The north had a better standard of living through its industry while the south had a low standard of living. Things became official in the twentieth century when the Protestants and Catholics separated into warring groups, politically and literally.
