LSD :
Lysergic acid diethylamide, a non-addictive drug. Used by psychiatrics as a therapy agent. Its effects : - Altered thinking processes - Synesthesia - A sense of time distortion- Spiritual experiences - Ego death

Psychedelic music

What is Psychedelic Music ?
• Many genres of popular Music : Psychedelic rock, psychedelic folk, psychedelic pop, psychedelic soul, psychedelic ambient, psychedelic trance… • Starting point : 1965 with The Beatles (Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds).

• Eastern influences (sitars, rare instruments) + early electronic sampling machines, prototypical electronic instruments etc…
• Main figure of psychedelic rock : Pink floyd. • 1966 – 1668 : Psychedelic music as a mainstream style (Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Big Brother and The Holding Company).
