1. Executive summary :
The case study that I have selected deals with Highways Agency, an executive agency of the Department for Transport. Our goal in this report is to discover what are the external forces that could impact on The Highway Agency’s business.
To make this analysis, we will be interested in different strategic analysis approaches, as the PEST analysis. This one is a management technique that allows analysis of four external factors that impact on organizational performance. These factors are: political, economic, social and technological. PEST analysis is often performed using techniques of brainstorming.
Therefore, the problematic 's subject is to find a plan that could help inform the future strategy of the agency and help set its priorities.

3. Introduction:
The Highways Agency is an Executive Agency of the Department for Transport (DFT), and is responsible for operating, maintaining and improving the strategic road network in England on behalf of the Secretary of State for Transport. This company have a major role in delivering the Government's Ten Year Plan for Transport.
The Highways Agency was established since 15 years and they have a small corporate centre in London and offices at eight locations across the country. We also have traffic officers working on
