Measuring the Game of Golf
Introduction
The concept developed in 1998, called Golflogix, is that it is now possible to measure the exact distance to the green, to tell you which club to use and digitally track your process. Tod Kuta and Scott Lambrecht are the founders of this new concept. In this case, we will to focus on the B2B market. The potential of the B2B market is considerable, it raises more and more, will represent a large part of the market in the future and there is a real demand and new clients for our business.
Product
The GolfLogix sustem used Global Positioning System (GPS) technology and came equipped with a handheld receiver called the “xCaddie”. The xCaddie made it easier for golfers to measure the distance between their current position and the green.
GolfLogix’s system can indicate distance and record a golfer’s progess around the course. At the end of the round, he could download this data and receive printout mapping his progress.
GolfLogix has created 2 different products: first is the “Distance Only System” and the second is “Complete System”. The both products use the Satellite by the Global Positioning System in order to help the golfers.
The “Distance Only System” is the basic product of the both because It can just produce yardage to the middle of the green.
