During the Second World War, there was a considerable amount of poetic creations. Some of them talked about the tragic fate of the the members of the resistance, militated for involvement in resistance movements or focused on the depiction of war’s horrors. We have chosen to approach these different notions though the study of three poems.
First of all, the point of view of a person having really lived these events. This text “Je trahirai demain” explains the heroism specific to resistance fighters and the fatality of such events.
In second place, the call of resistance by literature, and in particular the poem by Robert Desnos, “Ce Coeur qui haïssait la guerre”. This heart with different meanings, will symbolize the poet’s sensitivity as well as his bravery. A bravery particular to thousands of French people who fought.
Finally, we will take interest in the tributes delivered, true recall of the victims, by looking at the poem Nuit
