Dyptique Projet Turbo
To apply the methods and concepts taught in the first year of DUT .
We have a project with a mechanical system to choose , which is the Turbo. Our task is to study its operation during four months in trying to apply the knowledge gained in the first semester .
Here is a short explanation of the system : the turbo is a system used on internal combustion engines, designed to increase the engine power.
This type of compressor increases the pressure of the gas mixture allows a better " air / fuel" .

Firstly, in the first part we will make an identification of the parts , that is to say that there are as parts in the system. Then in the second part is a detailed explanation of the system , this part will help to understand how it works . This is somehow a leaflet . Finally , the third part will involve the translation of a part of the project in
English.
Detailed explanation of the operation :
The turbocharger is a relatively simple system , it operates by the inlet of the exhaust gas turbine in the block ( red portion of the image below) part
, which rotates the shaft and the compressive reported turbine .
The role of the turbine is compressively draw ambient air to compress it and send it to the engine block ( blue part ) , which increases the amount of air in the cylinder and improves engine performance .
The-Turbocompressor
Between the turbine housing and the central unit , there is the internal cache. Its role is to make the system of variable geometry vary , it is the position of the fins increases (open position ) or decrease ( closed) the flow of exhaust gases.
The position of the vanes is controlled by the valve . The excess air is released and the valve changes the position of the fins.
With this, the rotational speed of the turbine shaft so varies the air / fuel mixture is constant
