RESUMO Este artigo tem por objetivo discutir as idéias de Martim Buber acerca da educação e do papel do educador em sua correlação com tempos de crise. O diálogo, a partir de uma interface entre a sociologia, a teologia e a filosofia, ocorre estimulado por dois temas fundamentais: a dor da barbárie e a esperança. Trabalhar com uma educação voltada para o diálogo e para a construção de uma cultura de paz e solidariedade em tempos sombrios e vazios de sentido como os nossos significa, antes de tudo, perceber a tensão entre esses dois eixos que envolvem a vida dos homens na sociedade atual. A perspectiva buberiana acerca da tarefa de educar vem, sem dúvida, levantar algumas questões fundamentais que remetem não só às exigências da condição de educador , mas às possibilidades de educar em meio ao caos e à violência deste século. ABSTRACT This article has for objective to discuss Martim Buber's ideas concerning the education and of the educator's paper in her correlation with times of crisis. The dialogue, starting from an interface among the sociology, the theology and the philosophy, happens stimulated by two fundamental themes: the pain of the barbarism and the hope. To work with an education for the dialogue and for the construction of a peace culture and solidarity in shady times and empty of sense as ours it means, before everything, to notice the tension among those two axes that involve the men's life in the current society. The buberian perspective concerning the task of educating comes, without a doubt, to lift some fundamental subjects that send not only to the demands of educator's condition, but to the possibilities to educate amid the chaos and to the violence of this century.
