L’impossible résolution de l’énigme de l’identité dans Piège pour Cendrillon de Sébastien Japrisot*

Resumen
Abstract
En este artículo hemos utilizado los planteamientos teóricos de la semiótica narrativa aplicados por Dubois al análisis de la novela policiaca. A partir de su cuadro de personajes, hemos estudiado las diferentes interpretaciones de los hechos en esta novela. Un análisis de la estructuración narrativa y la organización de la temporalidad contribuyen a comprender la construcción del enigma del crimen. El enigma de la identidad de la protagonista está relacionado con la figura del doble, que se manifiesta como un caso de duplicidad. Ella busca infatigable su identidad, al igual que Edipo. Sin embargo, no conseguirá descubrirla. El autor de esta novela se sirve de los personajes femeninos, estereotipados, para presentar un retrato de la condición humana y tal vez cuestionar a los lectores sobre el destino colectivo.
In this paper we have followed the narrative-semiotics approaches applied, by Dubois, to the mystery novel. His four-role system of characters has been used to reveal the different interpretations of the events in this novel. An analysis of the narrative structure, as well as the time organization, contributes to reveal the planning of the enigma of murder. The enigma of the protagonist’s identity is related to the mythical figure of the double, which in this novel is presented as a situation of duplicity.
The protagonist searches tirelessly for her identity, as Oedipus did. However, she won’t discover it. The author of this novel uses the female characters, which are stereotypes, to create a portrait of the human being and maybe to ask the readers about the fate of humankind.
