IFBM Presentation and services
Created in 1962, IFBM is now one of the leading technical research and training center for the barley to beer chain in Europe and beyond. For many years, IFBM has extended its activities to the entire sector of drinks, agro and agro food industry. IFBM provides you with its expertise in the following fields: • Research and development • Molecular Biology • Brewing barley and milling wheat qualification • Phytosanitary products qualification • Ring test for analyses • Technical studies • Further education and consultancy • EBC Malt production and sale • Development of new beer IFBM has a complete pilot plant, unique in Europe, including: • A micro malting (from 250 g to 16 kg) • A semi industrial malting plant (2 x 600 kg) • Pilot brewery (30 l) • A fully automatised 20 hl brewery • A high gravity preparation line • A fully equiped and automatised bottling line (“Krones”) (3500 btl/h) IFBM put its pilot plant at industrials disposal for different purpose: • R&D • Trial: raw materials, new equipments and recipes • Beverage and malting production
