Scotland, part of the United Kingdom is well known for its landscapes, its Highlands, the Vikings and for its coldness.
People all around the world are not aware about the social issues of the country and its specificities.
This report will try to analyze, evaluate and explain the reasons why Scotland has a problem regarding dental health.
“The country has one of the developed world's worst dental records and one in five children grow up without regular treatment” reported The Daily Express(2009).
The most exposed to this matters are children and adolescents who are the most likely to take strong habits concerning dental hygiene.
Moreover, adults are concerned insofar as intense smocking habits.
In view of this situation, the Scottish government has decided to take control of this bad issue and try to make Scotland become healthier.
Why Scottish people have dental health issues compared to the EU's members? How does the Government work to make this issue become a past mistake?

Scotland, part of the United Kingdom and above all part of the European Union has been compared to its neighbors and has reached the high level of the poorest dental health charts.
The country with its special features knew in the past bad press about the oral health and hygiene compared to the EU members.
Children old 5 to 12 are registered to the lowest level of dental health engendered an evolution in the dental caries, gum diseases and the loss of their teeth at the adult age.
First of all, the lack of oral hygiene is one of the most explanation reasons of the matter in Scotland. People in the past didn’t know the need of the oral hygiene for their body’s health.
