Many African countries adopted the idea of one Mother's Day from the British tradition, although there are many festivals and events celebrating mothers within the many diverse cultures on the African countries.
Arab World
Mother's Day in most of Arab countries is celebrated on March 21. It was introduced in Egypt . The first celebration was held in Egypt in 1956, and it has since been copied by the other Arab countries.
Australia
In Australia, Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in May. It is not a public holiday, nor is it known as a holiday.

Canada , United States
Much like St. Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Father's Day and Halloween that are traditionally observed in Canada, The Mother's Day holiday, in almost all features, is identical to the US version of Mother's Day.
On the second Sunday in May , American children of all ages treat their mothers to something special.It is the one day out of the year when children , young and old , try to show in a tangible way how much they appreciate ther mothers . On mother’s day morning , some American children follow the tradition of serving their mothers breakfast in bed. Other children will give their mothers gifts wich they have made themselves or baught in stores. In this special day , family members do not want Mom to cook dinner , as same as Canadian children .

China , Japan
In China, Mother's Day is becoming more popular, and carnations are a very popular gift and the most sold type of flower.
