ABSTRACT
We show that at young stage of a Citrus orchard, using a micro irrigating system consisting of ramps equipped with imbedded emitters is similar to a fertigation system with low efficiency under usual injection rates of fertilizers and not economical at high rates in the absence of intercropping to valorize excess of fertilizers in bulk soil not colonized by roots. According to the experiment in the Gharb, the lower rate of injection at which no sprouting occurs corresponds to 9-6-7 kg respectively for NPK fertilizer per hectare per month. Injection rate at which normal sprouting occurred was 26-9-10 kg respectively for NPK/ha/month either at the first or at the second year after planting. Key words: Fertigation, Citrus, Imbedded emitters.
