Making contingency plans.
Imagine you’re on an excursion with a friend of yours next Friday by coach. You may come up against unexpected difficulties, but you have prepared alternative solutions.
Write an e-mail to your friend telling him/her of:
a. What you have planned to do.
b. What you will do instead if a problem arises.

Subject: Planning an excursion
Message:
Hi, Ryad! How are you? I hope fine. I’m very happy to tell you that I’ve planned our excursion to Tipaza. We’ll travel by coach next Friday. The departure will be at six o’clock from the station. If one of us is late, the other will wait for him. When we arrive there, we’ll go to the museum first. But if we are late, we’ll visit the Roman Ruins instead. We’ll go to the zoo, too. But if it is shut, we’ll have a tour downtown and see some touristic places. Then, we’ll have lunch at the seaside. But if the weather isn’t fine, we’ll have it in the woods. We’ll take some photos as a souvenir but if the battery is low, we’ll use the mobile’s camera. We shall come back home at seven but if we are not on time, we’ll call our parents to re-assure them. I’m very excited about this trip. See you. Yours, Salim
