My dear friend,
I know that it has been a moment since you had news of me but you have to know that I was very busy. Nevertheless, I come back with a good new: I found a job. The priest of the church I use to go recommended me to an old lady: Lady Aysgarth. I admit you that the first time I heard her on the phone I was very impressed, so much so that I was about to hang up. She had one of these steely but class voices which informed me at once on her social status rather high. Finally, she turned out to be nice and she knew how to make me comfortable by asking me a lot of questions about my situation. That’s why I was careful to show the best side of myself and that I had the job ! Oh, I don’t have a lot of responsibilities (my job consists only in keeping Lady Aysgarth’s house, in cleaning some rooms and in taking care of her dog) but my boss integrated me at once at home by offering me to settle me in my own room. It has been now two months since I live here, I like it. However, I need to admit that I am a little bit bored in this house and that I miss all my friends and my familythat I have no time to see because of my job : I am not allowed to invite them and I must stay at home to keep it. I can only visit them one or two times a month. Besides, I’ll try to come to see you during my next day off. ……………………………………………………………………………

In the first place I think that, most of the time, we should not trust our first impressions. I judged several times a person on her appearance but the image that someone gives of himself is not often the reflection of his personality. Furthermore, I judged the one who is now my best
