P1431-UNDERSTANDING THE TEXT
Leah has the impression not to be good one teacher. Anatole, says to her that it is not the fact whether she is bad teacher, the real problem is whether she is a girl and in more whether she is white. And apparently, the other professors are men and are Congolese!
2- GOING FURTHER
1) Apparently, in this country, the whites are not very tolerated! But, another matter makes that Leah does not feel as the other teachers of her school, her sex! She is a girl and in her school, all other teachers are men!
The Congolese don’t seem to appreciate the Americans!
2) No, in spite of the explanations of Anatole, Leah does not still understand why she isn’t accepted as everybody in her school! In her country, everybody is tolerated, skin colours have no importance!
3) Tata boanda was lucky during his fishing, as a result, louse to be kind with Leah, he gives her one of his fishes, gesture which very pleases has this one!
4) I think that to live in a developing country is an experience has not to miss! To be able to know a new culture, to learn a new language... Furthermore, often, in these countries, there are magnificent landscapes!
However, from an economic point of view, I think that this kind of country is not the best for people who prefer to have a lot of money!
In any case, of my point of view, I would like very much realizing this experience.
