L’analyse de l’accès et des pratiques autour de l’eau mettent en jeu des transformations sociales ce qui tend à créer un nouvel espace social dans lequel s’invente la société civile urbaine : entre processus de marchandisation et réorganisation des rapports entre privé, public et communautaire. L’eau est au carrefour d’enjeux multidimensionnels qui forment un système d’ensemble. Le travail de thèse s’inscrit dans une approche globale afin d’appréhender les logiques d’acteurs : les institutions internationales, les autorités publiques, les opérateurs économiques privés et les usagers pour faire de la gestion de l’eau un « fait social total ».

The analysis of the access to water supply and the practices around it involve social transformations what tends to create a new social space in which is inventing the urban civil society between process of commercialisation and reorganization of relationships between private, public and community.
