Intro: Wheather social classes exist or not in US is still a controversal subject. It’s commonly accepted that there are three social classes “the rich”, “tel middle-class” and “the poor”. However some people simply deny their existence. I) Existence social classes in US
Some definitions of class take into account wealth or income or other qualitative factors, such as education, culture and social status. Furthermore almost two-third people who identify themselves as middle-cless believe that the republican party favors the rich. At a subconscious level people identify themselves with a social class. Some American sociologists consider that because of the fragmentation of the society no clear class distinction can be found. Apparently, such termes as “upper class”, ruling class”, “working class” are a very unpopular in the US. The US is based on equaitarian society with equal opportunity. It’s a fact that a large percentage of US citizens own TV sets, phones, cars and so benefits from the capitalist system.
Conclusion: To conclude, it’s a fact that the American are driven by the American fream and the myth of the self-made-man, but this belief obscures the reality of class differences. I would like to point out that at least one-third of the American population can be found at one extreme or the other on the economic spectrum and that is the reason why I find it difficult to justify the assumption there is no social class in the
