John Marsden was born in 1950 in Australia. He writes young adult fiction and is famous in Australia for The Tomorrow series and The Ellie chronicles His book “Tomorrow When the War Began” was published in 1993.

John Grogan was born in 1957 in the USA. He is an American journalist and non-fiction writer. He is well known for his best seller Marley&Me which was baced on a true story since it happened to him and was published in 2005.

Book:
Both titles of the books are grammatically incorrect.

Marley and Me we should say Marley and I but that grammar mistake makes it cute and maybe childish

. Tomorrow when the war began we should say tomorrow when the war begins but it shows that Ellie is telling the story while writing it

Takes place in Hell a forest in Australia witch becomes there home during the war so they act like if they were at home but still a bit stressed out for there parents and in town Wirawy where they do there missions and try to save there country from the invaders there they are scared, quiet, quick in there movements and the atmosphere is very tense.

Takes place in Florida until they move to Pennsylvania halfway though the book. The weather changes in terms of Marley’s mood of state of heath. If for example Marley is sick or unhappy there will be a thunderstorm or bad weather.

Main Characters: Ellie is the main main character. She is very strong minded and likes to control things and even thought its war she still finds time to think about love and friendship.

Lee is Ellies friend then becomes her boyfriend .his parents are Asians and they hold a restaurant. He is educated and likes to talk about his point of view.

Homer is Greek and sticks to the Greek customs a lot (greek roulette). Throughout the book he changes a lot: at the beginning he is irresponsible and very cheeky while that near the middle of the book he becomes interesting and he likes to be in charge which explains the
