Global Roaming for GSM and CDMA calls, SMS and Data
On-Waves' service provides seamless use of GSM/CDMA phones for inbound and outbound calls, SMS text messaging, and data connectivity via GPRS/1X. Calls are placed and received as onshore. Passengers and crew members may receive and place calls and SMS on their own cell phones to anywhere in the world, regardless of the location or itinerary of the ship, as long as the vessel is in international waters. Web browsing and email via smart phones is an increasingly valuable service for crew members. Crew can use their mobiles from anywhere on-board, including the privacy of their cabins.

On-Waves Prepaid Mobile: a new, affordable communications service
On-Wave offers its own prepaid mobile phone cards to all cruise and ferry ships served through the On-Waves Network. On-Waves recently launched its phone cards on board the Celebrity Eclipse and, Wind Star and Wind Spirit (WindStar Cruises).

A tailor-made and personalized service: US, European, Philippine and Indian phone numbers series
On-Waves’s advanced Pre-Paid Platform enables us to provide SIM cards that use local numbers from several key markets. Friends and family can now call or SMS crew at sea by dialing a lower-cost, local phone number Filipino numbers are offered along with US, European, Indian and Icelandic numbers.

User Friendly & Discounted rates
The On-Waves SIM cards are simply inserted into an unlocked GSM mobile phone and credit can be purchased by choosing one of three electronic top-up options, tailored with different rates to meet different crew communication needs. The largest top-up amounts available have been designed to offer special discount rates to the most common destinations for crew members.

Dedicated crew content
Future developments to enhance crew communications and overall crew welfare will include non-charged GSM data access to vessel content, newspaper content and other dedicated crew content.
