Since the industrial age, then the two world wars, and today the apparent disparity and the difference between men and women including values, attitude and voting preferences are highly remarkable in several domains of life. These disparities caused many consequences and changed many things in human life. So the question that arises is “are there solutions of gender gap?”. Therefore, during our presentation we will try to answer this question by: firstly enumerating and commenting the various aspects of gender gap, secondly giving it consequences and finally giving their solutions.
First of all, gender gap is most remarkable at work especially with wage. Statistics Division of the United Nations Secretariat from International Labour Office shows that today women earn on average 60% of the men salary for the same work. It shows how wage is disproportional between men and women. We can also see gender gap in several others domains as politic, household, between husband and wife at home, at school and in life expectancy. All these differences between men and women had negatives impacts and ill effects: male and female participation in the pay workforce, the ratio between women’s and men’s pay, women take more parental leave than man, interrupting career and many others. After these consequences, there have been found some solutions to narrow gender gap for women especially like: developing alternatives, demonstrating their value, promoting equality as the basic of human relationship and so on.
To sum things up, we can say that despite all the manifestations of gender gap and his consequences, there have been found some solutions to reduce gender gap. However, we have noticed that gender gap is disappearing very slowly but we hope it will completely disappears in order to maintain the process of globalization.
