Sujet : To what extent can we say that History and the fight for civil rights in America explains the election of Barack Obama as 44 Th president of the United States of America?
I will show that the election of Barack Obama as 44th president of the United States of America can is explained thanks that History and the fight for civil rights in America; for do that, I will study 15 documents : they talk about civil rights and hystory in America. So I will do three paragraphes : The first on was the civil rights in America, the seconde one was the Political History in America, the the last one was the election of Barack Obama.
I) The civil rights in America
Civil and political rights are a class of rights and freedoms that protect individuals from unwarranted government action and ensure one's ability to participate in the civil and political life of the state without discrimination or repression, this is the definition. Civil rights are often considered to be natural rights. Thomas Jefferson wrote in his 1774 A Summary View of the Rights of British America that "a free people [claim] their rights as derived from the laws of nature, and not as the gift of their chief magistrate.; hey was based on the déclarions of Human Rights and International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
This rights are considered to be universal rights tha apply to all persons.
But, questions about civil and political rights have frequently emerged. So, we can saw that all civil and political rights are guarantee, and, that they are the same for all people.
