This assignment is designed as an individual assignment, within a ‘study group’ setting. The idea of the study group is to allow students to discuss their research topics & gain feedback prior to presenting to the whole group in seminar (Task C).
The suggested number of study group members is 3.
Each member of a study group will research a different (even if loosely related) SIIS issue, based on a topic agreed with your tutor.
Assignment 2 comprises 50% of the overall mark for this Unit.

Task C - Present short seminar : Weeks 9, 10, 11
Task D - Submit written report : Week 12
(incorporating Task C seminar feedback as appropriate)
Requirement
Research your selected & agreed (with your tutor) topic, as an individual.
1. Prepare & deliver a short (circa 15 mins) presentation - Task C
20% of unit overall marks
The presentation will take the form of a student-led seminar, where the student will deliver to class & seek feedback on their approach to the topic, findings, etc. This may be at an early ‘work-in-progress’ stage, or at a later almost complete stage.
Criteria for these presentations will be as per the criteria used in the earlier assignment. Other students present will be invited to contribute their views also.
2. Submit a written, structured report exploring the issues in your topic – Task D
As a guideline, it is suggested the overall report length should be circa 2,000 words.

Each submission must meet the following criteria :
Pass/3rd class, 40-49%
Structure
An understandable report;
Include limited but appropriate examples/references.
Content
Some attempt to address each of the topics researched;
Demonstrate a basic understanding of each
