Outstanding T.A. Awards
Through this annual award the Department wishes to recognize exceptional TAs who have demonstrated proficiency and outstanding contributions in this field. The award is made through an open nomination process: i.e., any undergraduate or graduate student, faculty member or member of the civil service staff may nominate a teaching assistant within the department for the 2009-2010 Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award. Selection of the recipient will be made by a committee of Chemistry Department personnel involved in the teaching program. Graduate student TAs will receive the Robert L. Fern Award and Undergraduate TAs will receive the Robert C. Brastad Award.
Nominations are confidential and must include:
The name of the nominee The Chemistry course(s) and semester(s) in which the TA served The reasons that the TA should be considered for this award * The name and signature of the person making the nomination
For your convenience, A NOMINATION FORM IS PRINTED ON THE BACK OF THIS NOTICE. The nomination deadline for the 2009-2010 academic year is Friday, May 7, 2010.
